Branch Lopper N-153

The Nishigaki Futomaru N-153 clever long-reach loppers are designed with a steel rod mechanism running neatly through the centre of the pole. This means the blade cuts cleanly from the top of the branch, rather than pulling up from beneath.

Thanks to the smooth handle action and geared mechanism, you’ll find it surprisingly effortless to cut branches up to 40 mm thick, ideal for those trickier pruning jobs. The cutting head itself can be rotated 110° horizontally, giving you the flexibility to work both vertically and sideways while keeping your hands clear of awkward branches or obstacles.

Crafted from lightweight aluminium with robust steel components, these loppers combine strength, balance, and ease of use: a practical, long-lasting tool for pruning high or hard-to-reach growth without the struggle.

Usage:

• Japanese steel is hard and sharp. To avoid chips and preserve the steel edge, do not cut wire, metal, stone, or plastic.
• Do not twist or apply uneven pressure
• It’s better to cut diagonally across branches (not straight across), so you cut along the fibers
• For heavier cuts, make sure you’re using the base of the blades (not the tips)
