Ceramic Flower Frog Block, Grey Patina
Ceramic Flower Frog Block, Grey Patina
Stems stand to attention. No foam, no fuss.
The Ceramic Flower Frog Block, Grey Patina is the ikebana-minded cousin of your kenzan. A solid, watertight block of hand-built clay with openings drilled across the top at deliberate angles, so every stem you drop in holds exactly where you left it. Three branches. One flowering twig. A single protea, leaning just so. This is arranging for people who think a full vase is a missed opportunity.
Each block is handcrafted in Honduras from locally sourced clay and finished in a weathered grey patina, so glaze, texture and tone vary from piece to piece. Yours will not look like anyone else's, which is rather the point.
Fill it with water for fresh cuttings, leave it dry for seed heads and dried botanicals, or stack the square on the rectangle and build something sculptural for the middle of the table. Prefer a lighter look? The same block comes in a soft White Patina.
