The Niwaki Clean Mate is essentially a scouring block that behaves like a rubber, designed specifically to scrub away the resin, rust, and general gunk that accumulates after a hard day’s pruning. It’s the secret to keeping your blades looking—and performing—the way they were intended.

For the full tool-care ritual, apply a few drops of Camellia Oil to the blade before you start scrubbing. You can use water if you’re in a hurry, but we’re firm believers in the protection and longevity that proper oiling provides. It’s about respect for the steel, after all.

A word to the wise: this block has a fairly rough texture. While it's a powerhouse on grime, it can scratch polished surfaces. We recommend a quick test on a discreet area before you go to town on your most prized blades.
