EM1 Concentrate
EM1 Concentrate
The invisible workforce your garden deserves.
If you’re the kind of gardener who treats soil like a sacred ecosystem, meet your new best friend. EM1 Concentrate (formerly EM1 Garden) is a certified organic microbial inoculant designed for those who know that the real magic happens underground. It’s a broad-spectrum cocktail of microorganisms, enzymes, vitamins, and organic acids—the essential building blocks for a soil environment that doesn’t just survive, but thrives.
Think of EM1 as a recruitment drive for your garden’s natural residents. It supports the mycorrhizae, the earthworms, and the beneficial insects already working the land, creating a diverse biological community that breaks down organic matter with ruthless efficiency. Because as every dirt-obsessed insider knows: healthy soil equals healthy plants.
Why EM1 belongs in your shed:
- Superior Soil Fertility: Boosts root structures and enhances the performance of your existing fertilisers.
- Speedy Composting: Accelerates the breakdown of organic matter and keeps odors in check (your neighbors will thank you).
- Resilient Plants: Increases resistance to pests and diseases while improving flower blooms and crop yields.
- Pure Quality: Certified organic and built for the long-term health of your patch.
How to use it:
EM1 is ready to go straight from the bottle, but if you want to really kickstart the microbial party, add equal parts molasses to your solution—it acts as a high-energy food source for the microbes.
- The Standard Drench: Dilute between 1/100 and 1/1000. For a standard 10-litre watering can, add 10ml of EM1 and thoroughly soak your soil and plants (covers roughly 10m2).
- Foliar Health: Dilute at 1/100 and spray weekly during growth spurts or periods of plant stress.
- Compost Boost: Apply regularly to your heap to enhance activity and manage those "earthy" aromas.
Pro Tip: For the truly dedicated, EM1 can be combined with fish or seaweed-based liquid fertilisers for extra microbial fuel. It can also be expanded via a secondary process using 5% EM1, 5% molasses, and 90% water. Because in this garden, more is definitely more.
