This Japanese-made Folding Pruning Saw is where obsessive craftsmanship meets garden-bed reality. Featuring a 210mm hardened steel blade and a varnished cherry wood handle that fits into the palm like it was born there, it’s a tool that demands respect—and gives it right back to your trees.

This is a “pull saw.” Unlike Western saws that require you to muscle your way through a push stroke, this Japanese design does its best work on the pull. This allows for a thinner, more efficient blade and a cleaner, surgical-grade edge. It’s smoother, faster, and frankly, a lot more satisfying.

When you’re done being a garden surgeon, the blade folds away with a safety lock for secure transport back to the shed. Japanese steel is incredibly hard and sharp, but it doesn't like being mistreated. To avoid chips, keep it far away from wire, metal, stone, or plastic. Don’t twist the blade or apply uneven pressure. For the best result, cut diagonally across branches to follow the fibres, and let the base of the blade handle the heavier work.
