A watering can that actually understands you. Properly clever, Japanese-designed, and far too handsome to hide in the shed.

Meet the Garden Beetle. It’s the kind of tool that makes other watering cans look a bit... basic. Crafted by Hachiman in Japan, these cans are a masterclass in functional design. Whether you’re hovering over a delicate indoor fern with the 1.5L or tackling the veggie patch with the 5L, the Beetle is perfectly balanced and ready for duty.

The real magic is in the spout. Instead of a clumsy, detachable rose that inevitably gets lost in the compost, the Beetle features an innovative "soft sprinkler" structure. It creates a gentle, even stream—three streams for the 1.5L model and six for the 5L—distributing water exactly where it needs to go without the splash-back drama.

We know it’s the small details that win a gardener’s heart. The open-top design means it doubles as a handy bucket, and there’s a dedicated hose ring built into the ergonomic handle to keep your pipe in place while you’re filling up. No more runaway hoses or soaked boots.

Built from heavy-duty polypropylene, this can is a stayer. It can handle temperatures from a freezing -20℃ to a scorching 120℃. We’re not suggesting you garden in a volcano, but it’s nice to know your kit could handle it.

A truly unique gift for the person who takes their hydration rituals seriously, or a very sensible treat for yourself.

“I wish I had discovered this years ago. Made the perfect gift for the man who ‘has it all’. Beautifully crafted, I was pleasantly surprised how heavy and sharp it was. Would buy again.”

“I love the easy access both sides, the height was sufficient to grown runner beans on a tall mesh frame and it’s very easy to put together but may need two people to lift the net over the framework. Just love it.”

I have one and it is a game changer. Enough pockets to totally fit all the tools I wanted to carry. It's great to have them all in one handy place when I'm working in the garden instead of floating around in the bottom of the wheelbarrow.”

“Where has this tool been all my life? It is awesome, works brilliantly, even with older dried out flax. Literally like a hot knife through butter."
