The Heirloom Wooden Flower Press Kit is built for exactly that kind of sentimentality. Generously sized at 25cm x 30cm, it gives you room to press a full stem, a fat garden rose, or half a morning's gathering in one go, instead of standing over the bench picking favourites.

Solid acacia wood covers, screen printed with florals, clamp down hard with cotton straps and gold metal buckles. Inside, six pressing matboards handmade from cotton rag paper stack up with reusable handmade blotting sheets, so every layer dries flat, holds its colour, and comes out worth framing. There is a step by step instruction sheet in the box, so your first attempt is not a soggy learning experience.

When the season winds down, the whole thing packs into its printed cloth bag and waits for next summer. Handmade, properly heavy, incredibly special.

Blotting sheets: handmade paper, reusable
Bag: printed cotton cloth
Wipe the wood with a dry cloth. Do not wash, soak or oil.
Air the blotting sheets between pressings and swap them out when they stop drawing moisture.
Store flat and dry, out of direct sun.
