Kneel Before Me is the Burgon & Ball Kneelo Kneeler in Navy and Collector Gloves in Blue Stripe. One for the ground, one for the hands, both in a blue that forgives a bit of mud. Drop the kneeler, pull on the gloves, get down to it.

Picture the vege bed in spring. Thinning carrots, pricking out lettuces, the jobs that only happen at ground level and only take an hour if you are comfortable. The Kneelo is a sandwich of shock-absorbing EVA foam and thick memory foam wrapped in waterproof neoprene, so the path, the gravel and the wet lawn are somebody else's problem. Hose it off, it looks new. The gloves have a padded palm for the rough stuff, two-way stretch mesh for the warm days and an elasticated wrist so the soil stays in the bed.

• Collector Gloves, Blue Stripe: padded palm, two-way stretch mesh, elasticated wrist, ric rac trim. One size fits most.

Materials & Care

• Kneeler: wipe or hose clean. Air dry away from direct heat.
• Gloves: machine wash at 30°C. Air dry.
