Eliminate root shock when transplanting your seedlings by using a Soil Blocker - no more painstakingly pricking out your seedlings (risking damage to delicate root systems), and no more endless plastic pots. One of those must-haves for avid seed raisers!

The method of soil blocking essentially entails sowing your seeds directly into a pre-cut 'block' of soil, rather than using pots or trays. Not only does this mean you can cut down on plastic, but the process as a whole is much gentler on your seedlings. Instead of growing root bound in a traditional pot, the cube of soil allows your seedlings' roots to 'air prune'. This also reduces damage the roots of the plant when transplanted into the garden. With root shock out of the picture, gardeners report that plants started in soil blocks are healthier, stronger, and show more vigorous growth once transplanted.

The Micro 20 Soil Blocker is the ultimate hand-held seedling starting block, creating twenty x 2cm cubes of soil at a time. Seedlings started in the Micro 20 can be transplanted into the soil blocks from the Mini 4 Soil Blocker when using the cube inserts.

Please note: Micro 20 soil blocks are not suitable for transplanting into Mini 5 soil blocks, as the block is not large enough to accommodate a cube insert.

“I wish I had discovered this years ago. Made the perfect gift for the man who ‘has it all’. Beautifully crafted, I was pleasantly surprised how heavy and sharp it was. Would buy again.”

“I love the easy access both sides, the height was sufficient to grown runner beans on a tall mesh frame and it’s very easy to put together but may need two people to lift the net over the framework. Just love it.”

I have one and it is a game changer. Enough pockets to totally fit all the tools I wanted to carry. It's great to have them all in one handy place when I'm working in the garden instead of floating around in the bottom of the wheelbarrow.”

“Where has this tool been all my life? It is awesome, works brilliantly, even with older dried out flax. Literally like a hot knife through butter."
