Small, sharp, and hard to put down. The Niwaki Mini Sickle is the one you didn't know you needed until it lived in your tool roll.
A single bevelled carbon steel blade, made in Japan, and sized for the fiddly jobs: weeds between paving slabs, cutting back around pots and seedlings, and asparagus spears, which it is particularly good at.
Designed for right-handers, or the particularly coordinated back-handed lefty. Poplar handle, vinyl sheath.
Care
Carbon steel wants looking after. Keep it off wire, metal, stone and plastic, and cut diagonally across the fibres rather than straight through. Kinder to the plant and the blade. Wipe with Crean Mate and a drop of Camellia Oil before it goes back in the sheath.
