We've all used the end of a teaspoon, and let's be honest, it half works. Then one stem snaps, and six weeks on the windowsill goes in the bin. The Sneeboer Seedling Pricker is the proper answer to the fiddliest ten minutes of the season.
This slim, double-ended tool has a sharp point at one end and a tiny spoon at the other. Use the point to open up a planting hole, widen it with the spoon, and gently lift seedlings right out of the tray with their root systems intact. Slide them straight into place without so much as a bruised leaf.
At 22cm and just 50 grams, it's light enough to live in your apron pocket from the first sowing of spring right through to the last. Hand-forged from a single piece of stainless steel in Bovenkarspel, The Netherlands, where the Sneeboer family has been at it since 1913. There is no wooden handle to split, nothing to rust, and nothing to replace.
