The Setup:

We’ve made installation straightforward, but since we know you care about the details, here is the drill: Pick a prominent, open spot. Grab your spirit level (accuracy is everything) and some non-corrosive fixings. Once the stem is perfectly vertical and the NSEW points are locked in with your compass, apply a bit of grease to the axle.

Important: Ensure the ball bearing slides up inside the axle to rest on top of the shaft—this is the secret to reducing wear and achieving that frictionless, silent rotation we all live for.
