Sailing the skyline.

For the gardener who likes their decor with a side of maritime drama. This isn’t just a weathervane; it’s a statement of intent. Handmade right here in New Zealand using traditional sand-casting methods, our Yacht weathervane is built for those who appreciate the intersection of heritage craft and meteorology.

Crafted from a serious mix of sand-cast aluminium and brass, it’s powder-coated in a deep black to ensure the silhouette stays sharp and the colour stays true through every season. We’ve designed it with a smooth-running movement that feels as premium as it looks—it's the kind of garden feature that makes you want to stand on the lawn, squint into the distance, and mumble something authoritative about a nor'wester.

The Installation Ritual

Setting this up is a satisfying afternoon task. Choose a prominent, open spot and secure the base plate using non-corrosive fixings and a spirit level—verticality is everything here. You’ll assemble the N.S.E.W. cross with the included lock washer, find North with a compass, and tighten the lock bolt.

The secret to that silent, effortless glide? A little grease on the axle and making sure the ball bearing is seated properly inside the axle to rest on top of the shaft. It’s a small detail that reduces wear and keeps your yacht "sailing" for years to come.

“I wish I had discovered this years ago. Made the perfect gift for the man who ‘has it all’. Beautifully crafted, I was pleasantly surprised how heavy and sharp it was. Would buy again.”

“I love the easy access both sides, the height was sufficient to grown runner beans on a tall mesh frame and it’s very easy to put together but may need two people to lift the net over the framework. Just love it.”

I have one and it is a game changer. Enough pockets to totally fit all the tools I wanted to carry. It's great to have them all in one handy place when I'm working in the garden instead of floating around in the bottom of the wheelbarrow.”

“Where has this tool been all my life? It is awesome, works brilliantly, even with older dried out flax. Literally like a hot knife through butter."
